A Redmine plugin to suppress email notifications:

while updating issues - edit product view and on bulk edit view

by using a global switch - switch is placed in account_menu (top right corner)
Especially useful for silent mass-updates when you don’t want to spam all the project participants with your minor update.
This is a fork of the ‘Redmine Silencer 2’ plugin by Tobias Fischer
Works fine with Redmine 5.0
Simply clone the git repo under plugins/ in your redmine directory and restart the webserver.
Go to Administration > Roles and permissions > select a role and enable

‘Suppress email notifications in issue’ - for the role to be able to controll silencing notifications on issue edit level

‘Suppress email notifications globally’ - for the role to be able to controll silencing notifications using a global switch
You can also enable the setting ‘Silent mode on issue level enabled by default?’ in Administration > Plugins > Configure for the ‘Redmine Silencer 3’ plugin.
