The binary is provided in two variants:

  • Release (Media-Extractor_Release_v1.7.2.zip) for production use → Used in most cases
  • Debug (Debug.zip) for development and debugging

Note about Windows 8.1/10/11 SmartScreen:
Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 has a protection mechanism against phishing websites and yet unknown malware. This security measure is called 'SmartScreen'. This mechanism blocks software that is not well known, not often downloaded, respectively. Media-Extractor may be trigger SmartScreen until a certain number of people has downloaded and executed Media-Extractor. The application is save, though. Please see the readme for further information.
