How to run Vite with "--debug hmr"

I'd like to investigate a Vite HMR issue like indicated here https://vitejs.dev/guide/troubleshooting.html#a-full-reload-happens-instead-of-hmr

I tried this without success

quasar dev -m pwa --debug hmr

And I found nothing here https://quasar.dev/quasar-cli-vite/handling-vite

Does anybody know how to achieve this?
