How can I prevent repo-action from always displaying in the footer on GitHub after updating Quarto from v1.2.475 to v1.3.336?

I believe this is "GitHub Links" feature, see https://quarto.org/docs/websites/website-navigation.html#github-links.
Note that the links only appear if you are logged in.
Far as I know (from documentation), there is no option to avoid the links to appear in the footer while keeping them elsewhere, but maybe such option should exist.

(Would be nice to support repo-actions: false to suppress or alternatively perhaps we could support some form of repo-action-location which forces the repo-actions to a specific location).

You can now use repo-actions: falseon an individual page (or in _metadata.yml) to selectively prevent the display of repo-actions on a given page or a given folder.

I would want the repo-action-location option suggested by @dragonstyle .

I basically only want to see the actions in the sidebar. Never the footer. Never hidden.

@s2t2 please open a new feature request (https://github.com/quarto-dev/quarto-cli/discussions/categories/feature-requests) linking to this issue.

By commenting on an old issue closed months ago, your feedback will probably be lost in time.

By having a dedicated thread, we can easily come back to it when going through community contributed feature request.

Thanks.
