The application does not find your receiver
- Make sure you own a supported receiver
- To use this application, you have to enable "Manual Setup" / "Network Setup" / "Other" / "Network Standby" on your receiver
- Your receiver has to be connected to your wireless access point (WLAN/WiFi)
- Your phone must be connected as well
- Your router/access point must allow communication on TCP ports 23 and 80 between your phone and receiver
- Try to connect to the receivers web-page, if this works, try AVR-Remote
- Try to pull the plug of your receiver and router for about a minute
- Your receiver maybe hung. Try to cold restart your receiver. If this does not help, pull the plug for at least one minute. Try the same with your WiFi/WLAN router.
- Try to update your receivers firmware. After the update you should do cold restart again
- Try to avoid WLAN-connection losses, this hangs your receiver when AVR-remote is active
- Make sure network standby is enabled on your receiver.
- The used protocol is not officially supported/documented on these devices by Denon/Marantz.
- The device does not support the complete command set.
- AVR-Remote does not support DLNA/Airplay streaming from your Android device to your receiver.
- There are many other Apps which support this functionality (Skifta, UPnPlay, DS audio, Fritz media,...)
- This is actually an optional feature. To disable it uncheck the "Permanent Status-Area Icon" setting
- You have to long press "Quick" and then select an option.
- The exact conditions for every control are unknown for me, but "Options/Audio/[Tone Control=On|MultiEQ=Manual]" are good starting points. Choosing a surround-mode like "Matrix" could help. Pressing "Cancel" resets all levels to the state before modification.
- Try Matrix/Rock-Arena Surround modes.
- Manually define the IP and model of your second receiver in settings under "2. receiver".
- You could also use "Menu/extended/Scan for 2. receiver" to do a scan.
- To switch receivers press the status button on the main screen.
- Control a receiver behind a proxy (Socks/OpenVPN)
- Manually define the IP and Port addresses in the settings.
- Format is IP[:ControlPort[:HTTP_Port[:HTTP_IP]]]. Default example '192.168.1.12:23:80:192.168.1.12'
- Set Logging to file. (Settings/Develop/Logging)
- Try to reproduce the problem.
- Please press Menu/Feedback and attach the log file.
- Please send me a feedback email, so I can ask for further details.
- Maybe I don't have the hardware or account to test, so I will need your help.
