How to connect to a flipnote server

Austin Burk edited this page Mar 25, 2020 · 13 revisions

Setting up the DSi to connect to a server is pretty simple:

Make sure you have Flipnote Studio installed.

Head into the settings:

Go to the "Internet" section:

Then hit "Connection Settings". Here you chose the connection you currently use:

Hit "Change Settings" and press right until you reach Auto-Obtain DNS. Press "Detailed Setup". Enter the following:

Update: Instead of using Sudomemo's DNS, you could use Team Kaeru's DNS: Set the Primary DNS to 178.062.043.212 and Secondary DNS to 001.001.001.001.

Hit save and perform the connection test. If it succeeds, you're good to go!*

If you can't connect to the Flipnote Server, make sure the connection works without the DNS change and that the server still is online.

Here's a list of servers you can choose among: Server list

*connectivity test only tested on an european DSi
