Hello,

I have made an installation of OpenZFS on Windows.
On the next day, (before doing anything with zfs after the installation), My backup with Veeam agent didn't work anymore.
with the error

Creating VSS snapshot Error: Failed to create snapshot: Backup job failed. Cannot create a shadow copy of the volumes
containing writer's data. VSS asynchronous operation is not completed. Operation: [Shadow copies commit]. Code: [0x80042306]. Failed to create snapshot: Backup job failed. Cannot create a shadow copy of the volumes containing writer's data. VSS asynchronous operation is not completed. Operation: [Shadow copies commit]. Code: [0x80042306].

The vss components seem to have a timeout.
Doing lot of stuff (restart computer, service... didn't help)
Only removing the openzfs solved the problem.

My computer is a windows 11 (Pro) 22H2 (26100.1876)

Should you need more information, i can reinstall the openvss to make a test.

In the eventviewer I have

Do you mean openzfs here by chance? Because otherwise I found only a video surveillance software by that name.

It is the Veeam agent for Windows (6.1.2)

From different troubleshoting I did
vssadmin list writers
gives errors so it is not specific to veeam agent.

Phew took me a while to find this ticket again, and I can not transfer it according to GH. Thanks guys.
