What are you trying to achieve?

The default port for both OTLP/gRPC and OTLP/HTTP is 4317. This could be cause some inconvenience for service which host both endpoints (like OTel Collector), as it then requires one of the endpoint to be customer configured.

I believe this means we need to change the spec to say that otlp/http uses port 4318. Once this PR is merged we will also neeed to submit for port 4318 registration with IANA like we did previously with 4317 (open-telemetry#1148 (comment)).
