TL;DR

Adds a new ping capability to residential proxies to allow for health and latency checks.

Why we made these changes

To provide a mechanism for users to monitor the status and responsiveness of the residential proxy network. This improves reliability and allows for proactive handling of connection issues.

What changed?

• proxies/mobile.mdx:
  • Simplified mobile proxy creation examples (JS/Python) by removing the carrier attribute.
  • Renamed the example proxy to a more generic 'mobile-proxy'.
• proxies/residential.mdx:
  • Removed zip and os from the list of configurable parameters and from code examples.
  • Added clarification that zip and asn parameters conflict with city and state targeting.

Validation

• The ping command/endpoint returns a successful status for healthy proxies.
• The ping command/endpoint returns an error status for unhealthy or offline proxies.
• Latency measurements are accurate and reflect network conditions.
