Discover supported PIDS on motorcycle using OBD2 using python.
This simple script will use python obd module and collect all available commands over OBD2 connection.
Required Hardware:
- any ELM327 clone (Double PCB Mini ELM327 Bluetooth V1.5 PIC18F25K80)
- ObdLinx Sx, Lx Cx, Ex, Mx
Software:
Python 3.11.x
- Download and install python from https://www.python.org/downloads/
- Dont forget pip in the installation
Install required modules:
pip install obd
pip install tabulate
Connect to the OBD2 dongle via Bluetooth.
Virtual Serial port using OBD2 dongle will be connected to the PC.
Use device manager on Windows to locate new serial ports.
Some OBD dongles will create two serial port, try both of them if it is not working.
Run the script and choose serial from the list. Example is below...
