2. Connecting the sensor and interface PCBs
Hardware - Firmware - Software
Start by connecting the coax cable to the board.
Connect the shield to the connection ring on the top of the interface PCB.
Connect the core of the wire to the pad. ( See image )
Once you have connected the coax cable to the correct pad, the sensor PCB can be connected to the interface PCB.
In the linked document you can find the connections between the two PCBs Connections.pdf.
To connect the PCBs one can use two meshing blocks with two sets of grooves and a parallel clamp.
Begin by positioning the interface PCB.
Insert the sensor PCB next to it in the second set of grooves.
Solder a wire with thickness of ~0.25 to the side of the sensor PCB.
Solder to the other end to the interface PCB and cut the wire with a tweezer cutter close to the board.
Continue to solder the rest of the contacts and clean the connections with flux remover.
Turn your clamp 180 degrees and solder the other 4 connections.
Now you can remove the PCBs out of the brass blocks. Clamp the PCBs and solder the wire side as in the picture. Don't solder the DOUT0 and DOUT1 contacts.
Turn your clamp 180 degrees and solder the contacts as in the picture. Don't solder the M1 contact.
