I don't see the value this provides. Is it just a comment by a bot on the new issue/PR? |

Yes the bot puts the comment on issues and PRs from new contributors. Can sometimes be a nice way to greet new people. |

actions/first-interaction#301 (comment) I guess this is an example of the bot (I mean: it would have been nice if they included this in the README) Personally I would say an autogenerated thank you is worse than no thank you at all. |
