Here I was, assuming that three of the oldest unix distributions would end up having some similarities between their package systems and build steps....
Thanks to Charadon for pointing out that the code did not compile on NetBSD. This adds the correctness changes and missing headers to fix this (Tested to compile on NetBSD 10.1)
