GitHub pages enforces a retention policy for artifacts, so this needs to be version controlled.
For what it's worth, there is a node module that will commit artifacts to a gh-pages branch, but in the spirit of keeping things simple, I won't use that for now.
Testing:
mxskylar_gh_pages& verified that it works as expected.
