Dualsub 2.56.0 字幕菜单使用新布局。

通常使用双语字幕的情况是：

1. 选择原文字幕：即音频中说话人的语言。
2. 选择译文字幕：视频观看者的母语（或者熟悉的语言）。

如果视频本身没有提供译文字幕，那么我们可以把原文字幕通过机器翻译来生成译文字幕。

备注：

“机器翻译”这个词可能有歧义。

现在有些人喜欢把大语言模型的翻译叫“AI 翻译“，而不当成一种“机器翻译“。

然而在计算机技术中，“机器翻译“本身就是一个术语，相反意思就是“人工翻译“，大语言模型的翻译也是一种“机器翻译“。

Dualsub 使用第二种意思，也就是“自动翻译”、“机器翻译”、“AI 翻译”、“LLM 翻译”都是可以互换的叫法。

新布局可以简化为两个菜单和一个单选框。

“使用自动翻译“单选框会影响“译文字幕“菜单的行为：

• 如果不勾选：相当于另一个原文字幕，即使用“人工翻译“。
• 如果勾选：显示机器翻译的语言列表，使用“机器翻译“。

以下是新旧布局对比，上图是旧布局，下图是新布局。假设音频语言是英语，译文语言是中文，显示为上中下英。

关于机器翻译接口

• 如果没有 Dualsub API key，则使用 YouTube 的翻译接口。
• 如果有 Dualsub API key，则使用 api.dualsub.xyz 的翻译接口。

字幕菜单布局变动不会影响机器翻译的效果。

Dualsub 2.56.0 subtitle menus introduces a new layout.

The typical scenario for using dual subtitles is as follows:

• Select an original subtitle: The language spoken by the speaker in the audio.
• Select a translation subtitle: The native language (or a familiar language) of the viewer.

If the video does not provide translation subtitles, then we can use machine translation to generate a translation subtitle from an original subtitle.

Note:

The term "machine translation" can be ambiguous.

Some people now insist on referring to translations generated by large language models as "AI translation" and no longer classifying them as a type of "machine translation."

However, in the field of computer technology, "machine translation" is a technical term, which contrasts with "human translation." Translations produced by large language models are still classified as a type of "machine translation."

In Dualsub, the latter definition applies—terms like "auto-translate," "machine translation," "AI translation," and "LLM translation" are used interchangeably.

The new layout simplifies the interface to two menus and one checkbox.

The behavior of the "translation subtitle" menu is affected by the "use auto-translate" checkbox:

• If unselected: It functions as another original subtitle menu, using "human translation".
• If selected: It displays a list of languages for machine translation, using "machine translation."

Below is a comparison of the old and new layouts. The top image shows the old layout, and the bottom image shows the new layout. Assuming the audio language is English and the translation language is Chinese, the subtitles will display Chinese on top and English on the bottom.

About the Machine Translation Interface

• If no API key is provided, YouTube's translated subtitles will be used.
• If an API key is provided, translated subtitles from api.dualsub.xyz will be used.

The change in subtitle menu layout does not affect the quality of machine translation.

期望：原文在上，并且可以调大；译文在下，并且可以调小

一直都没有下载字幕功能。

不会有这种复杂样式设置，需要这种样式，使用其它扩展添加自定义 CSS 即可。
