It's hard to get started when you're not sure about what to do, so here are some suggestions:
-
Try adding a file in the
humans
directory with your username in the file title. For example, my username is muan, so I'd create a file namedmuan.html
, like this. It can be any type of files you want, may it bemuan.md
,muan.txt
, or justmuan
. -
Add your username to
human.txt
. -
(:+1: Bonus) Sort the
human.txt
, so the file is in an alphabetical order. -
(:+1: Bonus) Add some fun content to your own file. Check out mine: http://muan.co/hello-world/humans/muan.html
-
You should fork this repository using the Fork button on the top right, see this guide.
-
Make your changes on your fork however you want. The easiest way is to make them through GitHub's interface. See this guide for details. Note that you should be on a url like
https://github.com/your_username/hello-world
when you follow the steps in the guide.
Feel free to create an issue when you have questions.
This repository should be safe place for everyone to try things in. Be nice to each other.
If you're already an experienced GitHub user and wants to help, please add your username to the MAINTAINERS list, create a pull request, and I'll merge it after adding you as a collaborator, so you'll be able to merge pull requests in the future. Before that happens, feel free to review pull requests and comment when someone needs help.
