Z axis do not lower when Z is going to home #10
-
I just received my replacement(due to faulty wiring) S1 a couple days ago and I wasn't in too much of a hurry to start it back up. This morning I saw your firmware had been posted so I jumped at it. I have a couple questions if it's okay. Do I need to install the CR-touch firmware that's on the Creality site in order for my sensor to work? How about the z-axis limit firmware that's also on there? I'm curious because I've not been able to get my Z-axis to lower itself in any way other than manually. When it's at Z100 it's saying it's at Z7. If I try to home it, it rises up to Z14 but never drops further. At times X & Y will show #'s but Z will only show ?"s. I should have prefaced this by saying that the very first time I turned the S1 on, while it still had factory firmware on it, it crashed so hard into the right side of the X that I thought it was going to push the printer over. Not off to a great start. Also, when taking a closer look at the wiring on the CR-touch I saw that all but the blue wire were loose enough to have either already have or easily pull out of the pin connector they go in. I pushed them back in but still no luck. In all likelihood I'll be returning this printer as well. I'll keep checking in on this though and bet I'll be installing your firmware on my V2. Thanks for your time and any input you may have. |

Hi, the problem that you report about Z axis happens when there is a problem with the wiring of the probe or with the probe itself. |
