Texture Chunks

SutandoTsukai181 edited this page Jun 23, 2021 · 2 revisions

This article contains info about the customizable properties in the texture chunks panel.

It is heavily recommended to read the Property Panels article first, as it will explain the basics of property panels.

Location

There should be only one Empty object in the collection whose name starts with #XFBIN Textures. That object will contain the texture chunks panel.

This object will be created automatically when importing an XFBIN, so there is no need to manually create it.

It should have no parent, which means it is placed directly inside the collection. It must have the same name as the collection it is placed inside.

Usage

The texture chunks panel contains a list of textures. When importing, the list will consist of textures that are already inside the XFBIN.

Each texture has a name and a chunk path, which are used for identifying it. Enabling the Include in XFBIN checkbox will show an option to open a NUT (.nut) texture file to attach to the texture. After the NUT file has been selected, it will replace the texture with the same name in the XFBIN when exporting with the Export textures option enabled. If a texture chunk with the same name and path does not exist, a new texture chunk will be created and added to the XFBIN.

Examples

Here are some examples of the texture chunks panel in 2nrtbod1 from Storm 4.
