Missing Old Hungarian numbers. #32
Comments
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Hungarian_script also lists a Old Hungarian 500, but that doesn’t seem to exist in Unicode. Is that just an error in the Wikipedia page or is there maybe a ligature for 500? |
…by Viktor Kovács <kov.h.vik@gmail.com> - Add missing small "ent", "emp", "unk", "us" and "amb" symbols to hu-old-hungarian-rovas.txt Resolves: moebiuscurve#33 Also add typing variants for the capital symbols typing only the first or the first two Latin letters in upper case. - Add missing small and capital "enc", "and", "ech", "ent shaped sign" to hu-old-rovas.txt Resolves: moebiuscurve#34 Typing sequences for “ent shaped sign” are “ents” (small), “Ents”, “ENTs”, “ENTS” (capital). - Follow Sándor Forrai’s orthography for ü, Ü, ű, Ű Resolves: moebiuscurve#30 - add small and capital "short R" Resolves: moebiuscurve#31 - Add U+200D ZERO WIDTH JOINER, U+200F RIGHT-TO-LEFT MARK, U+200C LEFT-TO-RIGHT MARK Resolves: moebiuscurve#35 - Add Old Hungarian Numbers Resolves: moebiuscurve#32 - Add reversed question mark, reversed comma, reversed semicolon - Use `/` as a prefix for characters which are typed with AltGr on the xkeyboard-config old hungarian layout (We cannot use AltGr in ibus-table, so we can only use some prefix character instead) - Use `_` as a prefix for characters accessed by a longer string like a shorthand of their name

No, it is not an error or ligature. This is deliberate misrepresentation, overriding the standard. Look at for example the form of "Old Hungarian close e". |

If no such thing exists, like an Old Hungarian 500, then I think somebody should fix the Wikipedia page. |
The Wikipedia pages https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Hungarian_script https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Hungarian_(Unicode_block) do not mention the U+10CCA OLD HUNGARIAN SMALL LETTER CLOSE E they display the code chart not using pictures but using the characters themselves. So how they display depends on which font is used. When NotoSansOldHungarian-Regular.ttf (from Google) is used, it looks like: When OldHungarian.ttf is used it looks like: |

Yes, but the developer won't correcting. I've already sent him an email because a member of Unicode asked me to. The developer simply won't do it. |
