Can I stop gallery-dl based on the returned HTTP code?

For instagram I would like to stop everything once certain HTTP codes are returned, currently I see there is an option for 429 only, can I do this for other codes too?

There is no direct way of doing this, but you might be able to use the actions option to get it to stop/wait/exit for HTTP errors, see #5262 (comment)

Thank you, just tried the example, one more question can I make it gallery-dl keep the API response? There is a lot of data that I can't put in the filename and I don't want to lose it so I was thinking making gallery-dl store the response as a JSON file with the same name of the output file. Is this possible?

You can store all the metadata returned by gallery-dl in a separate JSON file with a metadata post processor. (--write-metadata or "postprocessors": ["metadata"])

It is also possible to write the raw HTTP responses with --write-pages, but that's more meant for debugging purposes.
