Yeah this is very stupid I know, I've just been waiting for the tilde key to be added on the Keyboard Manager.

If this isn't possible for some reason please tell me why, thanks for reading!

Alan is close, he just passed the fact that there are different keyboard layouts in the world. The thing is, the tilde is not really a key, but a character. One of millions. So the request means to add the possibility to remap to any character. And that request has been made many, many times. I'm not sure who the main developer for KBM is, but it is worth thinking about this: to update, or not to update?

The quickest thing you can do is memorise the Alt-codes:
Alt+126 = ~
Alt+164 = ñ
Alt+165 = Ñ
