Cannot start or update GmsCore anymore

Hello.
I once installed GmsCore app successfully, started it and made some settings.
Then I realised that my CustomROM does not support signature spoofing yet.
So some time passed by. Now I want to start GmsCore again to make some more settings BUT I cannot find the icon to start it anymore. Just disappeared.
So I tried to make a reinstallation/update but this failed after some seconds of installation try. Error message: "Package is in conflict with an existing package with the same name."
But caused by the missing icon I also cannot uninstall this app before.

Now I ask myself how the start icon of GmsCore could have been disappeared although the app seems still to be installed. E.g. in folder /system/priv-app I can find the folders GMSCore and GmsCoreSetup (which I also cannot delete).

It seems as if I am not able anymore to realise project MicroG on my phone now just caused by a disappeared icon. Strange thing.
Could you explain this phenomena, please?
What can I do to solve it?

Either caused by conflicting GApps (get rid of them), or if not, this can be fixed by re-installing GsfProxy.

Now I ask myself how the start icon of GmsCore could have been disappeared although the app seems still to be installed.

1.) what do you mean by "get rid of them"? There is just GooglePlay and Google Play Services left on my mobile BUT both are deactivated. So they should not be seen by MicroG. I cannot imagine that this conflict is caused by them BUT only by the installed GmsCore app ITSELF!!

2.) I once didn't install GsfProxy yet, Sir. JUST GmsCore app! So your suggestion won't help.

3.) Yes, it seems still to be installed! It is really very strange that the start icon of GmsCore just disappeared. And it is definitely JUST the only one that did so!!
Can you please describe how I could repair that? Isn't there e.g. any file I can start manually like it works with exe files at Windows?...

So what can I do now?...

Of course the conflict is caused by that. Both GApps GmsCore and microG GmsCore have the package name com.google.android.gms, so you can only have one installed. Disabling doesn't do anything. Hallo Jonny, thank you for your response and ideas! Did you read my whole problem description? We are talking about an ALREADY installed GmsCore app that once worked fine (app could be started)!! But later its app icon disappeared from the launcher apps menu for any reason so that I couldn't start the GmsCore app anymore. The whole time the folder com.google.android.gms existed on the mobile!! It is just the GAPPS GooglePlay and GooglePlayServices that I once installed but I DEACTIVATED them immediately. So the system didn't and doesn't know since then that they exist and when I installed GmsCore later on. Only THIS (missing icon) was the reason why I tried an update of GmsCore (or better a reinstallation) cause I hoped that this may help to get the start icon again! Instead I dscovered this installation conflict !! Unfortunately I cannot uninstall it before caused by the missing icon. But all that has nothing to do with GAPPS at all, Sir! Do you agree? But maybe you suggested me a solution by chance as adb uninstall may solve my deinstallation question and may solve the installation conflict then. So my command my be: "adb uninstall GmsCore", shouldn't it? What do you think, Sir?... However, do you know an alternative method how I can do the uninstallation via a terminal console instead of adb ? May I ask you also this?... Please trust the people here, if they are telling you something. They do not try to trick you, but try to help you.
MOST IMPORTANT: If your Rom does not support signature spoofing, Microg won't work and is not for you. It is like having a diesel engine, it won't work with petrol...

Take a look at nandroid (link before). It is a package that will take care of the installation and of the removal of gapps.
It is installed via custom recovery.
