Is Encompass still being developed? Read here that a RC2 version would be released 'within days' but that was months ago already. Will be sad to not see this project moving forward.

I'm currently "re-forking" it from a recent stable Electrum version. When we started, we started off of bleeding-edge Electrum code that wasn't a stable version. The good news is, I've pretty much got it done, and with some improvements at the design level.

I thought we released RC2 but apparently we didn't. Anyway to answer your question, yes Encompass is still being developed. 😀

We do not have funding needed to continue working on Encompass at this time, and with the current focus of our team members on other projects, and education it seems unlikely that Encompass will be updated anytime soon. The current version doesn't support segwit txns and Segwit is in GRS & LTC and (I think) VIA, but not known whether it'll be available in bitcoin. This is a significant update, along with bringing Encompass up to the current version of Electrum (if that's desirable at this point) There are several multicoin wallets available that support the coins in Encompass, Ethereum protocol coins, as well as CryptoNote protocol coins, and more. To make Encompass a viable alternative for a wider user base would require that we support several protocols other than those derived from bitcoin - this is a serious undertaking, and would require that we have sufficient funding to continue.
