1.1 Opening the STC 1000

First order of business is to open the unit.
Start by cutting the sticker on top, or simply peel it off.

Lift the tabs on both sides of the unit, using something flat (like a knife or small flat screwdriver, or even your fingernail) and pull it apart.

Once open verify that it is the correct version of the hardware (see the silkscreened A400_P on the right).
