The change is required because plain test mode doesn't implement the insertText, yet?
Otherwise code looks good.

Found two issues when testing the features

Cursor is at the wrong position after inserting an emoji

Emoji inserted at wrong position (cursor is at the end)

Optional we can open bug issues for that.

Hmm, works on chrome, seems to be a bug specific to FF, will fix it here
