"As of npm 5.0.0, installed modules are added as a dependency by default, so the --save option is no longer needed. The other save options still exist and are listed in the documentation for npm install."

@stevemoser Thanks for the contribution!

I think it is a little more clear with --save (as opposed to --save-dev) and works with npm older than a year (npm 5 wasn't released until May 2017).

I'm good either way. Since the docs are for beginners, it seems like keeping it simple would be best.
