ArduTouch Music Synthesizer is an inexpensive kit that anyone can complete successfully, even total beginners who've never made anything before.
Build it, and it works! It is pre-programmed to make lots of cool, nasty, and beautiful sounds, and music.
It has a touch keyboard, has lots of voices, and (for now) has two voices. It has Vibrato, Tremolo, Portamento, Low Pass Filters, High Pass Filters, Clipping Filters, and other effects. It will have more.
The line out jack produces surprisingly high quality sound for such an inexpensive synthesizer.
The current cost of the kit is $30 at my workshops, but I'm hoping to reduce my costs, and thus the kit price.
The ArduTouch music synthesizer is Arduino-compatible, and the ArduTouch sketch can be programmed into any Arduino.
Read through the Arduino sketch to learn more about the code (which will be documented better as time goes on).
This summer we are planning on having an ArduTouch Arduino library that will make it very easy to create your own synthesizers.
This summer we are planning on having a document that fully explains how the ArduTouch sketch and library work, so that those interested can learn Digital Signal Processing for audio generation.
