With 17.x and 18.x way past end of life, this part of the code hasn't been doing anything for a few years now. This commit fixes that - but, since I can't actually test this, may break things in some manner also... Signed-off-by: Thomas Winkler <2049715+tew42@users.noreply.github.com>

Not that this can catch all that many errors to begin with, but non of the release branches referenced here are in use any more, so right now it's not doing anything at all. This should bring back the basic sanity check
