I've revised the way
-q
works; now it shows progress dots during upload. If you really want completely quiet mode, it is now-Q
.This is desirable for me in my Verilog Project in Visual Studio, as the default percentage progress screen entertainment shows up as numerous separate lines in the msbuild output window (Microsoft has always had their own view of how
CR
&LF
work, go figure).Although the prior quiet mode helped with this, for long builds - nothing at all happens for an uncomfortably long time.
