The maintain docs section points people to thorough docs on the system that we use (jekyll bootstrap) and then points out some things that a docs maintainer should know, but wouldn't be able to learn from the general docs.

Modify homepage links to use v1.0.0-rc2.
Add a 1.0.0-rc2 copy of the userguide.
Move the existing userguide to the userguide/1.0.0-rc1/ dir.
Update the previous/next buttons to only thread within the same 'version'.
Update the sidebar toc to only enumerate pages in the current version.

https://help.github.com/articles/using-jekyll-with-pages defines the
current gems that are required to build pages.

Note that the jekyll command the docs should be tested with has changed
as well:

$ jekyll --pygments --no-lsi --no-auto --safe --server
Jekyll v0.12.0 removed the ability to have a category with an array.
Instead you must use 'categories'.

By default Google Analytics is enabled in the _config.yml which
results in all the testing work going into the analytics stream.
So we're adding a simple script that disables Google Analytics,
runs Jekyll, and then re-enables Google Analytics.
