This project aims to raise awareness about hate crimes and discrimination by providing a visual representation of data from countries participating in the HCRW program.

Key Features in Version 1.1

  • Addition of a modal on map load: Added the content of the About page in a modal that appears upon the first map load. This provides context about the project's purpose to the visitor.
  • Improvement of meta-data: Added favicons in different formats and og tags with the appropriate image size. Added the manifest.
  • Addition of a legend: Added a legend to the map with a color gradient based on the number of reported crimes since 2016.
  • Ability to filter results by crime: In this legend, added the option to filter the displayed results by crime type.
