As on notebook: your call, but I think it's fine at this point for new features to require Python 3. Our applications will all require Python 3 at some point in the next couple of years, so gently encouraging people to go that way seems sensible.

I'd say let's move to Python 3 only jointly and keep posix and Windows in sync.
