The SDSC cern-roll bundles software tools published by CERN into a Rocks(r) roll that can be installed easily on a Rocks(r) cluster.
The cern-roll requires that you first build and install the gnucompiler-roll and the gnu-roll onto your Rocks(r) frontend or development appliance.
- root - root packages for curve fitting, plotting, high energy physics computations and data analysis
- geant - geant (Geometry ANd Tracking): simulates particles passing through matter via Monte Carlo methods
- clhep - clhep (Class Library for High Energy Physics). Math libraries for vector math, random number generation and linear algebra
- cern-modules installs/configures module files for the cern suite.
