English Please #30
Comments
I know that! The whole documents will be translated into English when I have spare time. |
@jackfrued Or just make anotherRepo, giving name like Python-100-Days-EN. And just give link that in readme. So the others can help via forking and translating. |
I think it's fair to have translations if anyone could contribute but I don't think it is necessarily "disappointing for non-chinese" audience. Kudos to the original creators. We hope to see an English version if you guys can find some help or do it yourself in time. Awesome work! |
@sushruth I agree. |
I also found it ironic that the README made suggestions for newbies to use english as their working language while all the comments and docs were written in Chinese. |
英文水平不够啊。。。 |
Remove the suggestions please :) I would like to help but i am short of time at the moment. Its a good project nonetheless. |
I volunteer as a translator. Here is the link. Anyone is welcome to join the team as a translator. |
@xie186 i think this must be an organization repo. For multiple translate purpose. Like this : https://github.com/repotranslates/Python-100-Days-EN So there could be moderators admins. And can be translate a lot of github projects as like this one |
Sounds good! @ugurozturk . Let's work from here. |
I'm wondering whether using bookdown (https://bookdown.org/yihui/bookdown/) is a good idea to organize the content in to a book. |
translation is helpful but not necessary. |
Reasons, please? |
Hello, what do you want to say?

I'm asking @OliverYangKe to share his thoughts about why he thinks "translation is helpful but not necessary." :) |
Nowadays,google translation helps you to some extent. In China,people use some translation software to understand better some English repositories. If you have some problems, others are willing to help you. Gook luck! |
I think this issue needs a project name of Chinese 100 days |
@xie186 Hi, just wondering, are we still actively translating this document? I'm looking to deepening my understanding of Python and thought it would be a great learning experience to contribute in translating. |
@michaelchi1997 Great! I I added you in a slack channel: https://join.slack.com/t/python-100-days-en/shared_invite/enQtNjI4MzA1MzkxOTIyLTJjYjRiMWEyODgwMDI2NjQwNTY0ZjQ4OTcyMzI3MDg5MTYxYmE2NThmZWVmMDcwYWYzYWE3ZmIzOWVkMGIwZmY |
Hi, Is this still ongoing? |
What is the problem with Chinese README's
Firstly, we congratulate you for getting so much star by sharing this repository with humanity.
But it is very disappointing for non-Chinese speakers when one couldn't understand what a trending repository is about.
When we see such a repo on trending, our minds are blurring like Gollum's.
There is a way you can help to solve this disappointment which I believe is experienced by many people who want to know more about your valuable work and appreciate it.
What we want:
How this will help you:
“Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship. Because it is a way you can give something without loosing something.”
— Richard Stallman
