Thanks for the detailed description. Supplying StartupWMClass to the desktop entry is not simple, since the ant task the SDK is relying on doesn't support it: mscurtescu/ant-deb-task#57 |

I haven't read the link yet, but is it really a WM Class that causes that? Seeing that the printed 128x128 Icon is the netbeans logo? |

I also got the feeling it might be two different issues. Also, it's a Gnome thing rather than Ubuntu. I can update the logo at least. |

I've been able to reproduce this. When changing Look and Feel to FlatLaF Dark I get the Netbeans icon. When using DarkMonkey it is the correct jme icon. |

Is this still an issue on the 3.5 release? I can't reproduce this on Kubuntu. Neither the xprop gives any icons. |

I get it with FlatLaf Dark (but not Light), and not DarkMonkey. |

I can reliably reproduce this in Netbeans 13 while running the SDK, so I guess I need to volunteer to fix this. It seems this problem applies to all "dark" themes (except for DarkMonkey). Possibly they're looking for some alternative icon set that we need to provide. I'll keep digging. |

As I often use Netbeans and now start using JME3 this shows up a bit unpractical as I cannot tell what is running by just looking at the icons. Looking at the launcher it contains this code:
