Why does Mountain Duck create a ton of files in "~/Library/Containers/io.mountainduck.findersync/Data"

I notice that when Mountain Duck starts up. It seems to try to clone almost all the files in my home folder (maybe it's a symlink), and it fires off a ton of fsevents. Why is it doing this and there any way to disable this?

I set sync mode to online and I tried disabling all the caching that I could. I don't know why it even needs to care about local files anyway since I just use it to mount remote files.

This is the sandbox container created by macOS for the Mountain Duck Finder Sync Extension. It contains mostly symbolic links to your user home folder.
