requests does not support it either.
No major distro seems to have py33 as default: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JSX8fBmPb84emTmV0Kmyf0_r6R0kZM0h9Wdm91tn7Kg/edit#gid=0

Pip even dropped support for python 3.3: pypa/pip#3796
