Terraform Version

Built from master (fcc3736e6bb850e51c240fda5c033888f13dcb34).

Terraform Configuration Files

    region = "us-west-2"
}

data "aws_availability_zones" "us-west-2" {}

output "zones" {
    value = "${data.aws_availability_zones.us-west-2.instance}"
}

Expected Behavior

$ terraform show

data.aws_availability_zones.us-west-2:
  id = 2016-05-30 09:19:43.507129756 +0000 UTC
  instance.# = 3
  instance.0 = us-west-2a
  instance.1 = us-west-2b
  instance.2 = us-west-2c


Outputs:

zones = [
  us-west-2a
  us-west-2b
  us-west-2c
]

Actual Behavior

$ terraform show

data.aws_availability_zones.us-west-2:

Outputs:
