In our design, we used the RF tools filter calculator in order to create our bandpass filters. We opted for the 3rd-Order Butterworth type Filter. This is because it offered an optimal signal suppression above and below the passband. and the minimum amount of inductors for a 3rd order filter. higher-order filters have diminishing performance returns for the additional expense
- 1.0 MHz - 3.0 Mhz
- 3.0 MHz - 8.0 MHz
- 8.0 MHz - 20 MHz
- 20.0 Mhz - 50 MHz
To switch between filters we are using an FST3253 which is an analog 4:1 Mux/Decoder that allows us to change bands in code.
- Band 1 - Teal (1.0 MHz - 3.0 Mhz)
- Band 2 - Red (3.0 MHz - 8.0 MHz)
- Band 3 - Blue (8.0 MHz - 20 MHz)
- Band 4 - Green (20.0 Mhz - 50 MHz)
