NEVER seems to be enough time in the day
so this has been on my plate since last week
https://thinkster.io/tutorials/building-real-world-angular-2-apps
Plus on Saturday, I was working on my Weekly DesignCuts tutorial,
https://www.udemy.com/photoshop-tools/learn/v4/overview
add this to my basics
Also copied my favorite favicon.ico to this repo and to my \node-scripts\ folder root, so I could pull into any future project that has a favicon.ico, instead of using the generated one.
=> Monday, today 4/10 <=
we started the CommissionManager, ComMan https://github.com/gokemon/ComMan
quickly ran into the forms wall.
"Ya, lets build our app" OH shit, template-driven forms, or model driven forms?
Ok back to Angular 2 forms tutorials.
https://scotch.io/tutorials/using-angular-2s-template-driven-forms
https://scotch.io/tutorials/using-angular-2s-model-driven-forms-with-formgroup-and-formcontrol
https://scotch.io/tutorials/how-to-build-nested-model-driven-forms-in-angular-2
I think we are going to need to be building nested model driven forms
but also found this one, thought I would spend an hour or two working through this one...
https://www.barbarianmeetscoding.com/blog/2016/03/29/getting-started-with-angular-2-step-by-step-5-forms-and-validation/
"Our Application Up Until Now.....
At this point in time we have developed a tiny Angular 2 application to learn more about people from the StarWars universe. We have two components, the PeopleListComponent that displays a list of people and the PersonDetailsComponent that displays more information about the character that you have selected.
We use Angular 2 routing to navigate between these two views, the list of people being our default view and the one that is rendered as soon as the application starts."
YES< YES >YES
I know we need to create some routes, and we need to be these two components at least.
PeopleListComponent,
PersonDetailsComponent,
and more.....
But Jason also shared the SQL and sample data with me, so we can look through the sales commissions rules, which I think will be a
SalesCommissionsRulesComponent
and which he was fiddling around with the data in his SQL server tool, he figured out how to extract the data as JSON data. OK good.
and I found Building Angular2 Apps with SQL Server Data
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/AngularJS/152308/
from 02/08/2017 so pretty new.
And no matter what we do, since the Angular2 Web app and API Server could be on different domains, then Angular2 will generate cross-domain requests. This means that CORS (cross-origin resource sharing) must be enabled on any servers queried by Angular2 Web apps.
AND we need to add some serouious authentication to the front-end and back-end application, right off the bat.
SO, on top of learning forms, and how to play around with the data, I need to update my Angular 1 knowledge of A&A, to A&A in ng2 apps.
OH CRAP....
