Evaluation
The eight and last step of creating an educational escape room in Escapp allows you to configure the roll call approach and grading scheme of the activity.
First, you can choose what percentage of students' grades is given just for attending the escape room. Then, you can choose if attendance is taken manually, if attendance is taken automatically when a student logs in when an escape room is active, or if attendance is taken automatically for the whole team when one of its members logs in when an escape room is active.
Moreover, you can assign a percentage of the grade to each puzzle. You can assign a greater score to the first puzzles to ensure all students get a good grade, or the other way around, make the last puzzles count more so only students who can complete the escape rooms get a good grade.
Lastly, you can also add a reward (positive values) or penalty (negative values) to students' grade for receiving hints. If you are using the quiz approach for hints, you can customize this value for attempts of obtaining a hint that were both successful and failed.
