Had bought the DeskPi RackMate when I first saw Jeff's first vid about it and figured it would be a great way to move my previous setup from k'nex built to a proper rack setup.
Parts starting from the bottom:
4TB external USB 3.0 drive (bought it a long time ago, so i dont know it's cost)
Chromebox PC that cost $150 and with it's firmware hacked to allow me to install any OS that I want (currently Ubuntu server.)
Cable modem, cost about $100 or so.
1 Gigabit Netgear switch (got it for free)
2 10 port keystone patch panels with network keystones. (Top one connects to another keystone patch panel at the back top of the rack to connect to the router at the top, bottom one connects to a keystone patch panel at the back bottom to connect to my pc, ps5, and xbox one.)
Ryzen 5 3600 (Had this lying around after I upgraded my main pc to a 5800X3D, waste not want not.)
Old Asus wifi 6 router.
Chromebox pc currently is running Ubuntu server with docker and hosting my Gitea server, Pihole, Home Assistant, and Nginx (proxing everything). It used to also be my game server but it was lacking on some beefier games like satisfactory, which is why I bought the AsRock server.
All of the network cables and keystone jacks were from home depot and are rated for Cat6 and were hand crimped my myself.
For the bottom keystone patch panels, there are 4 network jacks and 1 cable jack, 3 of the network jacks connect to my pc, ps5 and xbox and the cable jack is for the cable modem.
Now for the fun part, UPGRADES!
I am planning on making this into a monster of a NAS setup by adding an ICY DOCK rack cage onto the same shelf where my psu for the server is and moving the power brick to the bottom shelf.
I will be adding this ICY DOCK rack cage: https://www.newegg.com/icy-dock-mb998ipb/p/N82E16817994224?Item=9SIA0ZX8A13177
And getting 8 4TB Crucial SSD's to fill it up: https://www.newegg.com/crucial-4tb/p/N82E16820156405?Item=N82E16820156405
Probably will go with either a Raid 6, or more likely a ZFS setup and get the drives over time (perhaps 2 at a time and set them up as additional pools to the main pool)
And yes, that is an 8 drive rack cage that can fit in a 5.25" case space.

On the back, funny enough, is the same exact PDU that is listed on the project mini rack site. A Tupavco PDU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BCTBFPNM?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkId=2676f06f8a9dca53292afeb428c79336&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
The keystone patch panels are also listed being the Intellinet 10 port patch panels: https://www.amazon.com/Intellinet-714860-Blank-Patch-Panel/dp/B078WCLDCP?sr=8-1&linkId=88a757d83aff655fd6fb999dd25bd9ee&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
