Took a look into that – Debian stuck to libdb 5.3 which was released before Oracle changed the license and there seems consent not allowing libdb 6 into Debian - see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=748192 – the problem persists for Ubuntu. |
Resolved, latest image does not contain Berkeley DB anymore |

Berkely DB comes with a problematic open source license and must be removed prior to the image being deployed.
There are apparently several places where it is being used (more detailed needed):
pam
apt
