Updated landing page and other ideas to modify the site #8

Description

@edwardchalstrey1
  • Landing page of this site should probably include simplified version of info from the docs landing page maybe highlighting 3 ways of using:
    • Command line tools, including Python API
    • AI tools (or say this is WIP)
    • GUI
  • Use new logo
    • Update favicons too
  • Install page should be removed from this site
  • Make navbar disappear when you get further down
  • Add navbar links to GH, PyPI, releases under an info dropdown
  • Get started button should link to readthedocs
  • Add photos to team page if possible
  • Make software and methods sections larger
  • Subtitle change: strategic -> strategic form
  • There is a link to twitter/x - maybe remove/update based on decisions in Determine best community and communication channels alan-turing-institute/gambit_admin#4
  • Testimonials from big fish users?
    • I have added some dummy ones, any actual testimonials?
    • Deepmind testimonial
    • Research professor
    • Someone who uses for teaching
  • Ensure site looks good on mobile
  • Include some information on research domains and/or key projects that have used or are using Gambit
  • Add a how to contribute section or "Get involved" after "Through the years"
  • Update the "Active research" bit to be "Selected projects using Gambit" so it's more stale-proof
  • Thinking about expanding the userbase to people less experienced with Game Theory, perhaps a resources page for Game Theory learning
    • Some of the links here could be used for this. Perhaps there are some lecture YouTube links too?
    • This might be better on the docs site
