Welcome to my wiki!
This wiki covers the design of a simple, low-cost software defined radio (SDR) receiver to be used in conjunction with Quisk, a free open source SDR software. Quisk is compatible with Python and is hosted on the PyPi repository. More information on Quisk can be found here: http://james.ahlstrom.name/quisk/docs.html.
Most of the discussion following will focus on the hardware design, construction, and testing of the radio receiver. Block diagrams, schematics, and other files are available and are openly licensed. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
- Theory and Introduction: A brief overview of the relevant theory behind radio reciever design.
- Hardware Design: Design objectives and notes. Design schematics can be found here.
- Simulation Results: Notes and photos of circuit simulation. Full simulation files can be found here.
- PCB Board Design: PCB files and gerbers can be accessed here.
- Construction and Testing: Notes on board construction and circuit testing. Full circuit bring up plan is located here.
- Part List/Data Sheets: Complete table of parts and data sheets used in project.
- Results: A brief listing of the final results and future work to do on my SDR reciever.
Thanks so much for taking a look at my SDR reciever project! If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me.
