Set up sm2uploader on Windows

The following instructions show how to set up the sm2uploader for a Snapmaker J1. These steps are the same for other Snapmaker

Download of sm2uploader

Download the sm2uploader file from the following link: sm2uploader

Directory for sm2uploader

Create a folder named j1 in the root of the C: hard drive

Unzip the zip and copy the sm2uploader.exe

Extract the downloaded zip from the sm2uploader website, then copy the sm2uploader.exe from the extracted folder to the following folder: C:\j1

rename sm2uploader.exe file

Rename the sm2uploader-win64.exe as follows: sm2uploader.exe

open and process cmd

Click on the Windows key and in the Windows Start menu type cmd and start the cmd

If the cmd you change to the folder j1 with the following command: cd j1

After changing to the folder, enter the following command and then click enter: sm2uploader.exe

After you have run the exe, your IP address will be displayed, note this in between.

Important: The IP address will be required later in the setup process.

open GalaxySlicer

Open the Windows Start menu and click on GalaxySlicer.

create a Snapmaker J1

To create a Snapmaker J1, the printer selection must be opened, this is opened with the gear at the top of the Printer tab:

When choosing a printer, choose a Snapamker with any nozzle diameter and then click confirm:

Switch to advanced mode

To switch to advanced mode, click on the follow button next to advanced:

Adding a second filament

To add another filament, click on the plus in the Filament tab.

switch to the Others tab

Click Others to switch the tab.

Setting up the post processor

Scroll all the way down until the post-processor input field appears.

Replace the text ~/sm2uploader -fix -host J1X2; ; from the text box with the following text: C:\j1\sm2uploader.exe -fix -host [IP-Adresse];

After the text has been replaced, the [IP-Adresse] must be replaced with the noted IP address from the cmd window.

So it looks like this:
