I am a frequent user of the Custom time in both the star tracker and satellite tracker plugins. I have the voice synthesis turned off for satellite tracker, but when I use Custom time I still get the voice synthesis, and the voice is played every time the time changes in the Custom field.

Looks like when the settings keys were added, not all of the settings set by the settings dialog were included. Should be quick to fix. (There's probably a few other settings that aren't being set properly as well).

I'll pull that PR and check it out as soon as the drift scan of BIIF-4 is finished and I can do the rebuild. Thanks!

GPS satellite? What are you scanning it for? :)

GPS satellites are excellent pointing sources; they're strong signal levels, precise positions, and a point source. Pointing and pattern determination can be done with the Sun or with Cygnus A or similar, but a GPS bird's downlink is both always on and strong enough to reveal the antenna pattern's sidelobes. So I'm using multiple drift scan passes of multiple birds over several days to get enough data points to where pandas can do an intelligent interpolation and I can then have a reasonable approximation of what the 3D antenna pattern looks like. Any bird with a constant downlink and known position will work; I could just as easily use Sirius/XM XM3 and XM4 to do the job, but that would be an active scan and my control software isn't mature enough yet to do that. Probably more than you wanted to know.... :-)

Antenna pattern calculator? Sounds like a good feature for SDRangel :)

I like it! Anyway, that works. No more voice. I'd like to talk more about what a pattern calc plugin might look like, but this issue report is probably not the right place....perhaps on the mailing list....

.perhaps on the mailing list....

Mailing list, forum or open another issue here. All good.
