Some of my sources show the volume slider but not red/yellow/green DB bar. Plugin V0.8.1 OBS V28.0.1

Still present in 0.8.2 , hard to tell if the audio output is working without the bars, Hope it can be fixed soon, BTW, the crackling noise when changing the volume is fixed.

this is still an issue and quite a major inconvenience. From what I have seen, the bars show up if and only if the audio source is active on OBS startup, otherwise it won't be there. annoying.

new finding! It is partially fixed when I activate "Only Active" and go back, which probably causes a reload, hope this helps anyone

also, this fix is not very reliable

I've found a pretty reliable workaround that lasts until OBS is closed:

Play any sort of sound via the source that the bars do not show up on, no matter how short.
Then, in your OBS sources dock, disable and re-enable those sources.

This also works if those sources are within folders, so if you don't like doing that for each individual source, slap them all into a folder and you can just disable/re-enable the whole folder at once.

Hopefully that'll make things somewhat less headache-inducing while we wait for a fix!

I know how challenging it is to resolve errors that don't have an apparent cause, and especially how difficult it is to find the time to do so.

However, I would appreciate an update regarding this issue (its been a year since the report). In my case, I use the plugin to control the output volume and monitoring of many sources, and not having visual feedback makes it much more complicated.

I hope it's an easy fix.

Exeldro, thank you very much for everything you do <3

I'll ping this one again. This plugin has been really really necessary for my workflow and it has been annoying for the volume meters to not be visible.
