Thanks for raising this @consulthys! I agree that this would be a helpful enhancement and an improvement in the UX. In the meantime, I think you should be able to clear your request history in Console, which will free up some local storage while preserving the content of the Console request pane. Please let me know if this helps! |
Thanks @cjcenizal I'll try that, that'll certainly do for now |
Thank you @jloleysens !! |
Hello, after we upgraded from 7.13 to 7.16.2 this error keeps coming. Even when there are not a lot of history. Full error: Kind regards, |
@JaoKlintone Can you try this and tell me if it helps?
With local storage cleared, can you verify that you're able to modify the dashboard as expected? |
Not OP but when I ran into the same issue with 7.16.2, clearing the "Offline website data" in Firefox did clear the commands and the issue for me. Restoring them and re-running did not re-trigger the pop-up. |
Okay I take it back. It started doing it again about an hour and 30-50 commands or so later. |
@ducttapecoder-vt Do you have any dashboards with map visualizations embedded in them, by any chance? If so, the error you're seeing could be a side effect, tracked by #98180. This has been fixed in 7.17 (#124293). |
No sorry. I'm not sure we even have any dashboards at all actually.

Elasticsearch version:
7.9.1
Server OS version:
ES Cloud
Browser version:
Google Chrome 85.0.4183.102
Browser OS version:
MacOS 10.13.6
Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):
ES Cloud
Describe the bug:
I've never cleared my browser storage (and won't because I have plenty of stuff in Dev Tools that I want to keep handy). After a few months of using Dev Tools and performing queries, I got the error message below (see screenshot).
Steps to reproduce:
Not easy/clear to reproduce, but I guess that repeating queries in Dev Tools for a sufficiently long time, would contribute to fill the storage and eventually trigger that message.
Expected behavior:
Not being notified of Storage issues and expect that oldest items in Storage get recycled (LRU cache)
Screenshots (if relevant):
Errors in browser console (if relevant):

Provide logs and/or server output (if relevant):
