Describe the bug:
A lot of work has been done to table UI and columns since I posted #737 (comment) in 2020. However, there are still UX annoyances with table columns, which I'd like to address here.
Specifically, I have a saved Discover search with some columns. I have adjusted the column widths for the data to better fit the screen, and I can see these width settings saved when I examine the saved object. The width can be found under
grid->columns->field_name->widthand is saved for each column.If I bookmark or copy paste to someone the url from the browser, it will also contain these width values as part of the url, and the widths will be preserved. However, if I use Kibana's Share functionality to generate a link, the widths are not shared as part of the url, which would be fine if the widths from the saved search object were used, but they're not. The columns load all having the same width, ignoring the saved widths.
